Soil:
The soil is primarily sandy calcareous marl

Guyot

Harvest:
Manual harvested into small boxes towards end of September or beginning of October

Vinification:
Approx. 12 days alcoholic fermentation and 15-20 days maceration in steel tanks with over-pumping 3 times a day. After the malolactic fermentation, the wine is placed in French 500 liters oak barrels (tonneau), which are 1-3 years old. The wine stays in the barrels for approx. 18 months before it is bottled. Before release, the wine is stored in the cellar for at least 6 months

Compact ruby ​​red

Bouquet:
Red fruits, prunes and spicy roasted wood

Taste: 
Intensity of red berries – raspberries and blackberries – with hints of licorice and black pepper, as well as undertones of roasted oak and vanilla

An oak aged Freisa is a full-bodied wine and a perfect match for red meat, game and matured cheeses
